Pamela Healy President
Pam grew up sailing on SF Bay. She won a Bronze Medal at the '92 Olympic Games in the Women’s 470 crewing for JJ Fetter. She has held the prestigious Yachtswoman of the Year titles at both the St. Francis Yacht Club and the San Francisco Yacht Club.
Rolf Kaiser Vice President
Rolf Kaiser has been active in the sailing community since college, when he served as the Vice President of the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Association and captain of the Stanford sailing team.
Greg Meagher Treasurer
After several years as a stay-at-home dad, Greg began sailing competitively in 1995 and still can’t get enough. In addition to an active racing schedule, he enjoys serving as a race committee volunteer at events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and is a US Sailing certified Judge.
William J. Hoehler Secretary
Bill Hoehler is one of the original directors of the St. Francis Sailing Foundation and is currently its Secretary. He has been sailing and involved with sailing for over 40 years. He currently races a J/105 because talented young people are still willing to race with him.
Bill Kreysler Past President
Bill grew up sailing Sabots, Finn, Lightnings and Star Class boats in San Diego. Crewing for Don Trask in the Star Class the two won the North American Championships in 1966 and were 3rd in the world championships in 1967. They also placed third in the Star Class US Olympic Trials in 1968.
Carolyn Patrick Past President
Carolyn joined the Foundation Board in 2003. She was a competitive sailor for many years and now enjoys cruising in warm waters. Having come to sailing as an adult, she is devoted to introducing young people to the sport. Her career has focused on the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
William M. LeRoy Founder and President Emeritus
Bill has been a director of the Foundation since its inception in 1985. Under then-Commodore Ed Brovelli, he worked with legal and non-profit experts to construct the beginnings of the organization. Bill is passionate about the sport of sailing, and is committed to the support of young and competitive sailors.
Molly Carapiet
Molly is an avid racer. She grew up racing on San Francisco Bay, was a 5 time All-American sailor at Yale University, and was an Olympic aspirant in the 470, Europe Dinghy and 49erFX. She continues to enjoy match racing, team racing and foiling on her new Waszp.
Michelle Harris
Passionate about philanthropy in both her personal and professional life, Michelle Harris is the Development Director for The BASIC Fund, a non profit that helps children from low-income families attend the school of their choice in the Bay Area. Michelle has spent almost a decade raising funds and planning events for non-profits.
Paul Heineken
Paul is a longtime competitive dinghy sailor, windsurfer and supporter of junior sailing. A past Commodore of the St. Francis Yacht Club, Paul has been a leader of the Junior Committee and many other yacht club committees.
Kimball Livingston
Kimball is a lifestyle sailor and sailing writer with an ethic of service to the sport. His interests range from youth development to Olympic support to the history of yachting, especially the history of yachting in California. On the racecourse, he catches an occasional lucky shift.
Mike Martin
Mike has an extensive career in high performance sailing. He is a multiple world champion in both the 505 and the Australian 18 Foot Skiff classes, and was the Director of Rules and Umpiring for the 34th America’s Cup. Mike also races foiling kiteboards out of the St. Francis Yacht Club.
Maureen “Moe” Roddy
Moe Roddy is a retired RN and transplant to the bay area from St. John USVI and Newport RI. She has sailed and raced extensively in the Caribbean and North East both ocean racing and deliveries. In 2005, she became the second woman to finish the single handed leg of the Bermuda 1,2.
Grant A. Settlemier
Grant is a longtime Knarr sailor who has competed for over forty years both locally and internationally. He has served the St. Francis Yacht Club in many capacities, most notably as a Commodore and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He founded and organizes the popular annual St. Francis Yacht Club Holiday Decorated Boat Parade.
Michelle Slade
From New Zealand, Michelle has been involved in communications for sailboat racing and events for some 20 years. An interior designer with a passion for being on the water, Michelle is an active race committee volunteer and St. Francis Sailing Foundation supporter.
Peter B. Stoneberg
Peter has been a yacht racing enthusiast for many years and has owned and raced boats large and small. He has been associated with the Foundation as board member and advisor, and was the architect of the Foundation’s investment strategies. Peter has over 20 years of experience as a technology industry entrepreneur.
Jenny Swett
Jenny Swett is a life long sailor and windsurfer and two-time member of the U.S. Women’s Sailing Team. An artist/designer, Jenny designed the first on-line “viewer” of the America’s Cup 2000 following Macromedia. Jenny received her B.A. from Stanford University and her M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute.
