Grant is a longtime Knarr sailor who has competed for over forty years both locally and internationally. He has served the St. Francis Yacht Club in many capacities, most notably as a Commodore and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He founded and organizes the popular annual St. Francis Yacht Club Holiday Decorated Boat Parade which has grown to include boats from the U.S. Coast Guard, Sea Scouts and other yacht clubs. He is a longtime member of the Foundation. A native San Franciscan, he was an investment advisor at Smith Barney for many years and has a history of volunteer activities with many local groups and institutions including the Society of CA Pioneers and The Guardsmen. Grant graduated from UC Berkeley and Thunderbird School of international Studies.
